The Harwood Museum's Wilder Green Challenge

Art in the Schools

Soon we will begin hosting more than 3000 student visits from school children as part of our Art in the Schools program, including over 450 visits of children with physical, emotional or cognitive challenges. Two classes per day explore our galleries, engage in discussion and create their own artwork in the education studio. This program relies entirely on the support of donors just like you.  Give to Art in the Schools today.

Your gift will be matched by the Wilder Green Challenge.

Through the generosity of The Wilder Green Fund, your gift will be matched up to $5,000 providing an excellent value. With your support, we can continue to bring inspiring art experiences to the children of Taos.

Art in the Schools is an innovative, multi-visit, museum-based program that provides in-depth art education to at-risk, low-income schoolchildren in Taos County.

We encourage students to view themselves as an integral part of a creative and artistic community and to envision a future with museums and art. We make museums and the arts accessible (and fun!) to all students regardless of income or abilities.

During this school year, every class Pre-K – 5th from Enos Garcia Elementary School as well as K-8th from Taos Integrated School of the Arts (TISA), several special education inclusion classes from Ranchos de Taos Elementary, Pre-K from Anansi, Taos Cyber Magnet High School and Homeschoolers are each scheduled to visit us for all of the four units.

With your support, we can continue to bring inspiring art experiences to the under-served children of Taos again this year. Every gift is always meaningful and appreciated, whether you’re able to give $25 or $2500, or somewhere in between.

Help us meet the Wilder Green Challenge!

Give today!

Thank you for your support of our Taos youth.
