The Harwood Museum of Art presents a weekly meditative Jivamukti Yoga program with Jayne Schell on Thursdays from 8:30am - 10am. Open to all levels, yoga mats provided. $8 for Alliance Members at the Individual level and above (These Alliance Members may also purchase a Class Card of 8 classes for $40) or $10 General Admission. TCMG opens its 25th anniversary season with the American String Quartet featured in an all-American program. Works include Zhou Tian’s Viaje (Journey) for flute and string quartet (with Nancy Laupheimer), Robert Sirota’s American Pilgrimage for string quartet, Barber’s iconic Adagio, and Dvorak’s “American” String Quartet.

Studio 238 is proud to introduce the second series of rotating installations with local artist, TJ Mabrey. Primarily recognized as a sculptor in stone, paper has been her secondary medium of choice going back to the late 1970s. A documentary film, by Kathleen Brennan and Jina Brenneman, captures little known stories as told by friends, lovers and classmates who knew her well and give insight into Martin's personality and development of her creative process. Run Time: 56 minutes.
The screening will be followed by a Q&A session with the movie makers.

Homeschool families are invited to a special art program exploring the Harwood's diverse collection and creating art in the Museum's inspiring Fern Hogue Mitchell Education Center. Four sessions are scheduled from 10-11:30am during the 2017-18 school year that correspond with our Art in the Schools curriculum. This program is designed for kids 4 - 12, all ages welcome.
