Please join us for a lively discussion of Spanish Colonial Colcha embroidery, emphasizing the local variant, Carson Colcha embroidery. The panel will be moderated by Suzanne MacAulay, PhD, Professor and Chair of the University of Colorado's Department of Visual and Performing Arts. The panel offers a range of perspectives on style, historical origins, major players, and attribution as well as diverse views on authenticity and invention. Participants will be Juanita Lavadie, Hank Sax, Cynthia Patterson, Louise and Tony Graves, and Lisa Graves-Cordova.”
